Directions to Bristol and the University

By Air

If you are flying to the UK, you may want to look at the possibility of flying into Bristol airport, which has direct flights from many European cities, including Paris, Amsterdam and Dublin, which are useful hubs for connections with long-haul flights. Among London airports, Heathrow is the most convenient for transfer to Bristol (you can get from there to Bristol most conveniently by direct National Express bus, or by train). Other possibilities include Birmingham and Cardiff, which have train connections to Bristol.

By Train

Bristol Temple Meads is the most convenient train station for the University area. From Bristol Temple Meads train station or Bristol Bus Station, to hotels or the venue: a taxi is probably most convenient, but the First bus services 8 or 8a are also convenient for the Clifton (e.g. Victoria Square hotel), the route goes up Park Street to the Triangle, then goes to the west along Queen's Road.
